Description
The Administrative Assistant assists the center manager with the daily operations of WELA.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related child development field required, or 5 years' experience (in an office or pre-school setting) may substitute for education requirement.
- COM certification required within twelve (12) months of employment
- Director's Credential required within three (3) months of employment
- Must be familiar with and knowledgeable of DHS licensing
- Must be able to lift, push, kneel, bend, reach overhead and pull/carry up to 50lbs.
- CDL and Oklahoma Bus Driver's certification preferred
- Must obtain/develop familiarity of Osage language and culture
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Requires a high level of problem solving
- Requires familiarity with grant writing, administration, and compliance with grant regulations
- Requires familiarity with the concepts of project management
- Requires familiarity with concepts of budget development and compliance with Osage Nation budgets
- Requires familiarity with planning concepts and processes including but not limited to program planning
- Must obtain/develop knowledge in Nation's HRIS system
- Must obtain/develop knowledge in Nation's grant management system
- Must obtain/develop knowledge in Nation's accounting system
- Typing skills at least 50 wpm
- Able to travel regularly to all WELA centers
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times
- Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
- Must have a clean driving record - may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
