Our esteemed client in the banking and mortgage industry, based in North Orange County, is seeking a Controller. This role offers a salary of up to $180K and is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to influence financial strategies and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop internal control policies and procedures for financial activities.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Collaborate with management to develop budgets and perform financial analysis.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and prepare for audits.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a financial management role, with at least 3 years in a banking or mortgage company.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements in the financial sector.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing teams effectively.
