General Ledger Accountant
Are you a self-driven, highly motivated individual looking for an opportunity to perform professional level accounting work of a varied and complex nature? If so, look no further! Plank Enterprises, Inc., an Eau Claire, WI, based holding company whose ownership interests include LPI, Inc., LDPI, Inc. and Pro~Cise, Inc., is looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join their accounting/finance team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform professional level accounting work of a varied and complex nature under the general direction of the Controller.
- JOB DUTIES for this GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT position:
- and record journal entries and accruals as part of the month-end close process
- activity and perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- transfers and entries
- fixed assets
- financial reports
- and sales and use tax reporting
- costing and reporting
- work paper preparation
- projects and other duties as assigned
- CANDIDATES for this GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNT position will possess the following QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Accounting; CMA or CPA a plus
- knowledge of general ledger procedures with a manufacturing background
- oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy
- to manage and prioritize multiple assignments within strict time constraints
- analytical, financial and interpersonal skills
- with Microsoft Excel and Word applications
- to work both as a team player and independently
- processing knowledge
- reporting & certifications experience
