Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with manufacturing experience that will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, servicing, remodels, modifications, installations, and/or troubleshooting/repairing mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical systems on production/manufacturing facilities equipment.

Employee's must be able to work independently or in a team environment while complying with all CFAN, EHS, OSHA, EPA, and Quality requirements.

This is a full-time/fully benefited position, you will be based out of our San Marcos campus located at 100 Thermon Dr. San Marcos, TX.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. (Able and available to work on other work shifts and even on weekends per maintenance rotational work schedule and on-call when needed).

Responsibilities

Machinery Type: Extrutor, electrical motors, vacuum systems, CNC machinery, laser punch, HVAC, Chillers, Air compressors, etc.

  • Perform installation, inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of company equipment, facilities and utilities.
  • Repair or renovate machinery, structures, fixtures, and utilities as needed.
  • Assist production personnel with installation, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
  • Accurately record all information necessary for traceability and historical files.
  • Monitor inventory levels of related materials and supplies and notify Maintenance Purchasing Agent when levels are low.
  • Regularly review and remain current on Operating Procedures, Quality Procedures and Manufacturing Specifications regarding the production process as necessary.
  • May assist positions in other departments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Other as assigned by management.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Demonstrate ability to perform and complete preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents.
  • Must possess problem-solving skills, understanding of industrial EHS requirements/policies, corrective action efforts/systems improvements, equipment installations, participate in risk/hazard abatement.
  • Ability to recognize and mitigate potential safety hazards on job site and/or task.
  • Demonstrate understanding of all EHS requirements and policies. Must be Lock out Tag Out (LOTO) approved by EHS.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and oversee contractors including conducting contractor briefings to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Able to understand and demonstrate basic computer skills to use CFAN's work order system.


Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years industrial maintenance experience
  • Knowledge mechanical, electrical manufacturing facility equipment
  • Knowledge diagnostics with industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
