This position is in Cargill s agricultural supply chain business, where we seamlessly connect farming customers with food, feed and industry.Job Purpose and ImpactThe Trader Trainee will participate in handling a supplier base and fulfill transactions delivering commodities that meet production requirements and specifications in terms of timing, volume, quantity and cost. In this role, you will help buy and sell commodities from producers and to consumers, coordinate logistics and support the commercial team in all activities related to trading and commercialization.Key AccountabilitiesCollaborate with transportation and logistics, quality assurance, customer managers and credit manager to ensure efficient execution and resolve routine problems.Help plan purchases and transportation to maximize profitable use of stock and storage facilities.Enter most routine data and run specialty reports from our contract management databases and systems.Research and analyze various freight opportunities in the marketplace to maximize margin.Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.Other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of 1 year of experience in trading, financial and/or commercial activitiesAbility to travel a 10% of the time.Fluent in Spanish and EnglishPreferred QualificationsStrong analytical and quantitative skillsAbility to deal with ambiguity, effective decision making and problem-solving skills#LI-KL1#FGBPosition InformationRelocation assistance will not be provided for this positionLocation: Coral Gables, FLEqual Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
