We are looking to bring on board a detail-oriented Accounting Manager/Supervisor in the Environmental Engineering/Remediation industry. Based in New Haven County, Connecticut, the chosen candidate will be tasked with ensuring sound financial reporting and operational results in compliance with formal requirements. This role will involve a substantial amount of autonomous work and will require the application of various relevant skills, including proficiency in accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning.
Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate billing and management of unbilled revenue/cost
Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations
Conduct thorough Project Accounting Analysis
Manage clerical operations and general business administrative tasks
Assist with external audits and compliance matters
Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions for efficient task completion
Work independently to manage accounting functions
Use knowledge of construction accounting in dealing with industry-specific financial matters
Handle month-end close procedures and work in progress (WIP) accounting
Resolve customer credit inquiries and monitor customer credit accounts.
