Job Description:
Pride Health is hiring an Infusion Pharmacy Technician to support our client s medical facility based in Columbia MD . This is a 3+ months contract assignment (conversion into permanent based on your work performance).
Position Title: Infusion Pharmacy Technician - IV Medication
Location: Columbia MD 21046
Ideal Candidate Background: We are looking for candidates who are licensed Pharmacy Technicians with experience in hospital or long-term care settings. A strong background in medical terminology is essential for this role.
Team Make-up: You will be working alongside pharmacists and 2 to 3 other technicians in a collaborative team environment.
Top Responsibilities:
- Filling prescriptions according to dedicated lot numbers
- Staging of non-compounded medication prior to submission for compounding
- Filling of non-compound prescriptions to be checked by pharmacists.
- Monitoring for expired lot numbers for medication
- Supporting daily inventory management for restocking of shelves
Must-Have Skills/Attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a licensed Pharmacy Technician
- Knowledge of IV medication
Nice-to-Have Skills/Attributes:
- Previous experience working with IV medications
Professional License Requirement:
- State Pharmacy Technician License or National Certification
Additional Information:
- Pay: $20/hr.- $23.50/hr.
- Work Hours: 10:00 am to 6:30 pm
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
