Olympus Energy LLC ( Olympus ) is seeking a motivated team member for the position of Communications Specialist for its Pittsburgh area office (with remote/hybrid schedule potential). This position will be responsible for communicating with employees, the public, and landowners, implementing community and volunteer outreach programs, organizing events, and providing content for Olympus website and social media sites.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with members of the community.
- Effectively communicate with landowners and community organizations to resolve questions related to Olympus s activities.
- Implement community relations, community investment, and Olympus employee volunteer program.
- Plan, organize and conduct town halls, special events, and other community engagement meetings.
- Develop and execute written materials such as landowner updates, social media posts, newsletters, and website updates.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive subjects with tact, kindness and professionalism.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and build consensus within and outside of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Web page creation/editing and graphics/photo editing skills preferred.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
Preferred: two years of related experience
