Inventory Control Specialist

Responsible for the inventory control process. This includes the overall direction, coordination, and implementation of the physical inventory process for both controlled and non-controlled items in support of Marine Corps Consolidated Storage Program (CSP).

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Hourly rate for Inventory Control Specialist: $28.00-$29.18 hourly

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Inventory Control Specialist Responsibilities Include:

  • Works to ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy.
  • Perform physical cycle counts.
  • Assist with causative research.
  • Assist with implementation of inventory control procedures.
  • Track inventory using warehouse management system.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Inventory Control Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Minimum of (2) two-year experience in inventory management.
  • Experience as military Supply occupational specialty preferred. USMC MOS of 3043 or 3051, Army MOS 92Y, Air Force AFSC 2S051, and Navy Logistics Specialist (LS).
  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) investigation to obtain base access and DoD computer system access.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and be able to communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory control.
  • Experience with inventory management software and other organizational computer applications.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending and standing for long periods of time.
  • The ability to pass a drug screen and background check is required.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
