About the role:

The Senior Property Financial Analyst will report directly to the partners and will possess a deep understanding of financial analysis, risk assessment, and market trends within the real estate sector. As a key member of the Property Management team, you will be responsible for managing the financial planning, analysis, reporting and compliance to ensure the company s financial health and sustainability. You will play a pivotal role in driving informed decision-making and maximizing the financial performance of our property investments. This is a lead Finance position with excellent opportunity for growth and advancement!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial analysis of commercial and mixed-used real estate properties including operating, budget and variance review, loan administration and borrower support, review and analysis of leases, appraisals and engineering reports.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting packages
  • Prepare consolidated annual budgets and perform actual versus budget variance analysis
  • Create monthly cash flow projections for the consolidated corporate and emerging markets portfolio
  • Develop portfolio level financial models, reports, graphs, metrics and other analysis
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Perform property valuation including market analysis and research
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field;
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the real estate industry.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation.
  • Strong understanding of real estate investment principles, including property valuation methodologies and capital markets dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Proven track record of working on multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, as well as Property Management softwares.
