Maintenance Manager


Job Details

PrideNow is looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Manager in Georgetown, KY for an automotive manufacturer that specializes in Interior and exterior injection molded parts, glass assembly, compression forming, and custom assembly. This person will be responsible for directing all companywide activities needed to maintain production equipment to minimize downtime, maximize productivity, and provide for safe operation as well as effectively repair broken equipment and tools promptly.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Determine and document the proper Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for production and facility equipment.
  • Manage completion of preventive maintenance tasks to schedule. Including modifications to schedules based on findings during preventive maintenance tasks or breakdown instances.
  • Maintain and manage asset listing for all equipment in the Maintenance Department
  • Maintain an orderly and adequate spare parts inventory to facilitate on-time preventive maintenance task completion and to minimize breakdown downtime.
  • Confirm that daily process inspection sheets (DPIS) are correct and adequate. Ensure tasks are being completed properly and to schedule.
  • Ensure proper inventory reorder points and reorder quantities for spare parts, maintenance material, and general production supplies.
  • Manage the purchase of spare parts, tools, and materials while closely tracking departmental budget.
  • Maintain organized records and files such as equipment manuals, spare parts lists, spare parts master inventory lists, preventative maintenance schedules, work order schedules, individual equipment breakdown, and repair cost history
  • Maintain a planning communication board for the Maintenance area and review and assign daily goals to maintenance team members.
  • Develop a hiring plan and manage manpower according to budget
  • Ensure 5S of workshop and spare parts area.
  • Understand and adhere to all Federal, State, and Local regulations as they apply to Plant Operation (OSHA, Right to Know, Stormwater, Lock Out / Tag Out, etc.).
  • Ensure safety-related inspections are carried out to meet OSHA and other Governmental requirements (i.e. Crane Inspections)
  • Maintain KPIs for the number of downtime instances, downtime hours, preventative maintenance tasks completed to schedule, word order on-time completion, and performance to departmental budget

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 3+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand machine blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and ability to use a multi-meter safely for troubleshooting.
  • Basic welding skills and ability to operate heavy equipment like forklifts and man lifts.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with employees and vendors.
  • Proficiency in basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and complete necessary repairs or modifications efficiently.
  • Physical capability to lift 40 pounds occasionally, and to stand, squat, crawl, and kneel for extended periods to complete maintenance tasks.


JOB SHIFT:

7AM 4PM *must be flexible to be on-call and work weekends*
