POSITION OVERVIEW
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing and growing client base within a specific market or area. This position is also responsible for the management and leadership of the branches that fulfill for the regional area. Area Sales Manager will staff Sales and Operations personnel to meet the demands of the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Establishes and implements a marketing strategy for the designated territory in line with company objectives.
* Evaluates budgets, forecasts and reports to ensure branch P&L requirements are being met.
* Monitors/reviews performance of Loan Officers to ensure production goals are being achieved.
* Recruits, trains and develops Loan Officers within their Area.
* Completes annual performance reviews for reporting team.
* Manages recruiting and termination of branch staff, as needed.
* Ensures branch office meets compliance requirements.
* Attends industry related conventions and trade shows as needed.
* Plans and organizes regular meetings with sales and operations team. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct reports: Branch Managers and Loan Officers. PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Standard office environment, equipment and tasks, including work at a computer terminal. This position requires partial sitting and walking throughout the day. Employee must be open to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
* Ten (10)+ years in Residential Mortgage with recent sales management experience.
* Bachelor Degree preferred.
* Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
* Superb written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft programs, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
* High level of integrity and confidentiality required.
