Senior Configuration Management Analyst - Systems Engineering Support

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, recommend, and maintain Configuration Management (CM) practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure configuration changes are identified, tracked, and the status of each item is known.
  • Review engineering change data and document changes to ensure adherence to CM practices.
  • Maintain procedures and processes to ensure compliance with company and contractual requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, and tools.
  • Train and distribute information to staff on CM practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Process changes throughout the entire lifecycle of a change.
  • Assist in the development of change proposals.
  • Develop and maintain Configuration and Data Management customer deliverables.
  • Track and report data to monitor adherence to regulatory, configuration, and contractual requirements.
  • Support the development of media, Software product end items, and other baseline deliverables to the Customer.
  • Administer configuration management activities related to identification, control, and accounting for engineering documents, parts, and BOMS for systems and/or equipment.
  • Participate in reviewing engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing.
  • Maintain procedures for storage, retention, and destruction of company records, and for processing, storing, and retrieving current and historical design, technical, and programmatic documents.
  • Provide visibility to the nature of each change, the system or process impact, and traceability of revisions through the Change Control Board process.
  • Perform periodic reviews and verify version release configuration items.
  • Plan, document, execute, schedule, and conduct System Verification Reviews and Functional Configuration Audits and Physical Configuration Audits.
  • Courier (in local area) and receive/send classified data in collaboration with local security personnel.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management as related to DoD contracts.
  • Familiarity with markings, formatting, and handling of documentation.
  • Experience in reading and releasing engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal direction.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • 5+ years of experience with Configuration Management and Product Data Management processes and tools.
