Responsibilities:
- Develop, recommend, and maintain Configuration Management (CM) practices, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure configuration changes are identified, tracked, and the status of each item is known.
- Review engineering change data and document changes to ensure adherence to CM practices.
- Maintain procedures and processes to ensure compliance with company and contractual requirements.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, and tools.
- Train and distribute information to staff on CM practices, policies, and procedures.
- Process changes throughout the entire lifecycle of a change.
- Assist in the development of change proposals.
- Develop and maintain Configuration and Data Management customer deliverables.
- Track and report data to monitor adherence to regulatory, configuration, and contractual requirements.
- Support the development of media, Software product end items, and other baseline deliverables to the Customer.
- Administer configuration management activities related to identification, control, and accounting for engineering documents, parts, and BOMS for systems and/or equipment.
- Participate in reviewing engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing.
- Maintain procedures for storage, retention, and destruction of company records, and for processing, storing, and retrieving current and historical design, technical, and programmatic documents.
- Provide visibility to the nature of each change, the system or process impact, and traceability of revisions through the Change Control Board process.
- Perform periodic reviews and verify version release configuration items.
- Plan, document, execute, schedule, and conduct System Verification Reviews and Functional Configuration Audits and Physical Configuration Audits.
- Courier (in local area) and receive/send classified data in collaboration with local security personnel.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
- Knowledge of Configuration Management as related to DoD contracts.
- Familiarity with markings, formatting, and handling of documentation.
- Experience in reading and releasing engineering drawings and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated analytical skills.
- Ability to work under minimal direction.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- 5+ years of experience with Configuration Management and Product Data Management processes and tools.
