** Position Description**
**Laborer Support** Location **US-MO-Independence** Job Code **9305** # of openings **15** **Olin Winchester, LLC (Winchester)**, considered one of the worlds leading ammunition manufacturers, is seeking to fill **Laborer Support** positions. This position will be located at the Lake City Army Ammunitions Plant in Independence, MO. Laborer Support starts at $17.47/hour with an increase to $23.28/hour after successfully completing 120 days. **Essential Functions*:**
* Fills perforated plates with primer cups by hand or metal scoop. Removes defective components or positions cups into perforations with waxed picks as needed.
* Places transfer plates in between with anvils/support cups and plates with partially assembled primers. Inverts assembled plates prior to sliding out transfer plate and removing anvil/support cup plate to allow meshing of anvils into primer cups.
* Places perforated plates filled with cups in various stages of assembly onto machine cradle.
* Inspect partially assembled primers for surface defects throughout charging operation.
* Insert rolls of treated paper for the foiling operation, fill lacquer pans, complete primer history tickets with dates.
* Obtain samples from each outgoing primer box and place components for gage inspection.
* Takes sample weights of primer mix pellets.
* Maintains daily primer production and scrap records for Area Manager-Explosives
* Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition.
* Primer operators are required to demonstrate adequate quality and safety job performance.
**Position Requirements*:**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to use measuring devices such as tapes, gauges, and scales.
* Basic mathematical skills.
* Must be multi-tasking, detail-oriented, and the ability to work in a team environment.
* Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
* Must obey safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment.
* This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required.
* This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
* This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
