The Distribution Assistant provides service and support by means of direct communication with the customer. He/She is responsible for proper and timely execution of sales orders. Furthermore, he/she should assist in generating and distributing daily, weekly and monthly shipment and tracking reports. The Distribution Assistant works directly with and under the supervision of the Distribution Coordinator, providing support when needed.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions

  • Pick and pack all orders assigned efficiently and accurately per customer guidelines.
  • Complete work orders as directed to do so by a Coordinator or Fulfillment Manager.
  • Assist in the facilitation of all express orders.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall appearance of the warehouse - trash removal, sweeping, breaking down skids and boxes, and general cleaning.
  • Label and rework product as needed or assigned to do so by Fulfillment Manager or Distribution Coordinators.
  • Maintaining product in assigned lines and completing assigned inventory counts as needed of the lines.
  • Safely utilize and operate all equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
General
  • Responsible for health and safety of persons served, at all times.
  • Expected to serve as role model for persons served.
  • Expected to serve as an advocate and to protect the human rights of persons served, at all times.
  • Expected to participate in training, as required by your supervisor and for all LOGAN staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
  • Two years of warehouse distribution preferred.
  • Proof of Employment for at least 1 year Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong skills in oral and written communication.
  • Strong skills in basic math orally and in written communication.
  • Familiar with manufacturing environment.
  • Skilled in organization and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Ability to bend, twist and lift on a regular basis.
  • Ability to lift products of varying weights.

CONTACT RESPONSIBILITY

Fulfilling the responsibilities of this job does not require you to come in contact with body fluids. LOGAN will provide you with training on blood borne pathogens, but will not provide Hepatitis B vaccine to employees in this job classification.
