LDDBlueline is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Interiors to lead our interior design group. The Director will be instrumental in shaping the future of our interior design practice, driving strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the interior design group, driving improvements and expanding our presence across all office locations.
  • Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the Executive Committee to set strategic goals for the interior design group.
  • Establish, mentor, and supervise interior design project teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Administer the firm s quality control and assurance programs to maintain high standards of excellence.
  • Lead efforts to obtain client contracts and provide internal consulting services on architectural contracts.
  • Collaborate with regional directors and architectural project teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including obtaining or maintaining NCIDQ certification.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Key Requirements:

  • NCIDQ Certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Minimum of ten years experience in interior design, with a proven track record of leadership and project management
  • Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, Microsoft Office, Project Management software and other software used by the firm
  • Experience managing multiple projects, including work teams
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to complete projects on time with precision and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership skills and understanding of design principles, construction techniques, and industry trends
  • Effective communicator, both written, verbal, and presentation
  • Initiative and professional drive
  • Ability to travel to various office locations and client meetings, with overnight travel as needed
  • Highly ethical
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills


Education:

  • Professional design degree from CIDA accredited program preferred
