An established broker-dealer affiliated with a well-known hedge fund advisor is seeking and an experienced institutional transactional salesperson in fixed income/interest rate derivatives and/or equity derivatives. It is also seeking an experienced institutional salesperson/fundraiser for its hedge fund advisor, which is one of the longest-standing, multi-strategy advisors in the U.S.
Several of the current marketers perform both of these functions and some perform only one of these functions.
These positions are based in Boca Raton, FL.
Requirements:
- The candidates must have strong relationships with sophisticated, large potential client(s) or investors, and knowledge of options and derivatives.
- Ideal client coverage for the transactional salesperson would be with pension funds, endowments, regional banks and other institutions with fixed income and derivatives trading desks.
- Ideal client coverage for the hedge fund salesperson/fundraiser would be with pension funds, endowments, and sovereign wealth funds, as well as consultants and platforms related to similar institutions. We would consider other investor categories if the existing relationship is very strong.
- The hedge fund salesperson/fundraiser would be expected to raise significant new capital within 12 months.
- Must be a team-oriented professional.
- Series 7 required after hire, if not already in place.
- Options and derivatives knowledge essential for transactional role and beneficial for fundraising
- Knowledge of credit products beneficial
Compensation for the transactional salesperson is commission-based. Compensation for the hedge fund salesperson is salary plus merit-based bonuses.
