**Under general supervision, performs various technical and staff support activities for the Court. Performs clerical duties related to courtroom, operations inside and outside the courtroom. Duties include general clerical, receptionist, project-based work, assisting office staff, processing case files, understanding the legal process, and attending court in proper court attire. We are looking for a highly self-motivated hardworking individual with a friendly disposition. Must be willing to submit to a criminal history check and sign a confidentiality agreement.JOB DESCRIPTION OF A JUDICIARY COURT CLERK: Judiciary court clerk provide clerical support for judges and state court proceedings, both criminal and civil. Assist the court staff such as arranging trial dates, scheduling court appearances and processing court orders. In addition to processing court decisions, court clerks also answer inquiries about judicial procedures and court logistics. As part of maintain and managing court office records, judiciary clerks may serve as liaisons to collect basic information from attorneys, witnesses, plaintiffs and defendants. Judiciary clerk responsibilities may vary considerable by court. Court clerks must be highly organized, familiar with office technology and effective at communication. They must be comfortable with public interaction, especially when dealing with complaints, since they'll usually be the first contact when involved parties have questions about court arrangements. Also, they will be assisting the office staff or court coordinator in the processing of all correspondence, telephone and email messages and the circulation of the correspondence to the appropriate personnel. Preparing and assembling cases for monthly criminal pre-trial dockets and writ of habeas corpus dockets.REQUIRED SKILLS: High School diploma or equivalent; AND one year of experience in general office operations; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Skilled in the use of modern office equipment such as telephone, computer, copier and related peripherals. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular) Adobe and Zoom. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
