Job Overview
We are looking for a creative, motivated and responsible Junior Designer to join our Global R&D Team focusing on product development. Our ideal candidate has the desire to work as part of a growing team, channeling his/her creative abilities to produce unique furniture and home decor product designs. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and must be a creative, self-motivated and highly organized individual. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite /Sketch up, Microsoft Office are required and experience with AutoCAD/3-
D rendering software is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create and assist the design team with the development of new product, creating detailed renderings using Adobe Creative Suite/SketchUp/AutoCAD
- Support the design team to Identify and create trend briefs/guides to be used as inspiration for company-wide product development
- Conduct market research and present findings internally with other design team members and account managers (Digital & In-person Research)
- Collaborate with Account Managers and customers on product-specific projects
- Conceptualize and design new products to be exhibited at industry trade shows
- Create and update product/sales presentations and other customer communications
- Create sales content for both in-person and online shopping experiences ie. Lifestyle imagery showcasing products
Skills
- Proven experience as a product designer/developer preferably in home/decor marketplace
- Fashion forward and knowledgeable about home design market trends
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup/ AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel and
PowerPoint, in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Team player who thrives in small team setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Resourcefulness, initiative and the ability to anticipate needs and take action.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 years experience in product design or related field
- Strong creative, design and communication skills
- Portfolio of work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
