Location: Remote or Hybrid (Corporate Office - Huntsville, AL)

Description:

Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and accounting principles. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where accuracy and efficiency are paramount.This position reports to our SVP of Finance and works closely with Human Resources and other Business and Team Leads, as needed, as well as our Third-Party outsourcing vendor.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee the payroll process in its entirety, to include supplemental pay (i.e. commissions, bonuses)

Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Handle payroll inquiries from employees

Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to resolve any payroll discrepancies

Maintain accurate payroll documentation records

Prepare 401k and worker's comp reports for submission following each payroll run

Assist with year-end payroll activities

Assist with any payroll related audits (i.e. 401k, worker's comp)

Required Skills:

Proficiency in payroll software

Prefer Deltek Costpoint experience

Knowledge of and experience with accounting principles and practices

Ability to perform data entry with speed and accuracy

Understanding of financial concepts like debits and credits

Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel

Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

Dependability and confidentiality are a must

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, multi-tasking and managing time effectively to meet deadlines

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members at all levels in the organization, as well as with vendors, customers, and other business associates

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Able to obtain a security clearance, if needed

Education/Experience/Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred; may consider other fields of study and equivalent job-related experience

3-5 years of job-related experience
