Position Summary: Under general supervision, is responsible for representing Westmark is a positive, professional manner while performing a variety of general teller functions at various branches.
Essential Functions and Performance Measurements:
- Accept deposit and withdrawal requests while properly verifying endorsements and validity of items presented and verifying cash
- Assist members with the purchase of monetary instruments such as Money Orders and Cashier's Checks
- Provide routine information about the credit union, its services, products and policies
- Balance Cash Drawer daily, in a timely manner, maintaining at least an 80% balancing percentage
- Follow branch robbery/security procedures
- Accurately process cash advances, check order requests, night deposit items and all other duties assigned by Supervisor
- Comply with Westmark policies and procedures and seek approval for exceptions
- Participate in Westmark sponsored community events
- Utilize the Full Service Tab and offer products beneficial to members
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual Full Service goals as assigned by Branch Manager
- Actively supports the Full Service Initiative
- Is able to interact with members and co-workers professionally and with integrity
- Shows a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Maintains a reliable attendance record and takes responsibility for their own actions
- Represents the Credit Union, both during and outside of work hours, in a courteous, professional manner
Requirements
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Is goal and performance driven to succeed and obtain objectives assigned by management
- Accuracy in handling cash and keying transactions
- Effective oral communication and public relations skills
- Ability to use a personal computer and 10 key
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Cash Handling Experience
- Customer Service Experience
