**Overview**
**Job Summary**
This position will support operations for ACT Treatment by conducting environmental services while observing a safety protocols (proACTive).
**Accountabilities**
Preform all task while adhering to our proACTive safety program
Safe operation of a forklift daily
Receiving of hazardous and non-hazardous waste (herein referred to as waste). To include; offloading, weighing, labeling, and storing of containers from inbound trailer
Ensure inbound waste meets profile specifications (QA/QC)
Assist with maintaining an accurate operating record by ensuring all containers are scanned in correct location. And scanned correctly when moved, consolidated, and/or put on an outbound load
Consolidates wasteSolids for bin consolidation
Liquids for transfer to tanker
Small to large container consolidation
Lab-pack container de-packing and consolidation
Locate, pull, and label containers for outbound loads based on pick lists
Housekeeping to include; sweeping, mopping, painting, spill clean ups, trash collection, weed abatement, and other general cleaning
Perform internal compliance inspections (eyewash, fire extinguisher, daily)
Inspect waste storage areas
Perform near-miss reporting via spotlight app.
Operate Fixed HHW Program
Be courteous and polite to residents arriving at facility
Safely receive and offload waste from residents cars into HHW area
Segregate HHW waste into compatible categories
Consolidate HHW waste during times when not servicing residents
Clean up spills immediately
Attends and maintains all required training necessary to perform job
Performs safe work practices involving hazardous and non-hazardous waste
Responds to emergency situations when called upon
Perform additional tasks as assigned
**Knowledge, Skills and Ability**
Knowledge of the hazardous waste industry a plus
Ability to correctly identify hazardous/non-hazardous waste
Ability to work efficiently and effectively
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Chemical compatibility
Must be able to work alone and keep busy
Haz spill response/clean up
Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen, physical, and drug-screen
Ability to work extended hours when needed
**Education/Experience**
High school education or equivalent
Experience in the hazardous materials/waste industry preferred
Successfully completed HAZWOPER 40 hour and DOT HM-181 courses (must have copies of certificates)
Awareness of compliance and safety regulations of the industry a plus
