We re currently seeking a Quality and Compliance Manager is to design, implement and manage the Fire-Dex Quality Management System (QMS) consistent with ISO 9001 requirements across all manufacturing locations as well as oversight of product compliance including: NFPA, UL and other third party certifications, ensuring products are made in compliance with the Fire-Dex Quality Management System, and working closely with design, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee ISO, NFPA, UL, SEI and other third-party certification requirements across all manufacturing locations (excludes GearWash facilities)
  • Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System including internal and external audits, identification and execution of Corrective Action Requests and identifying Opportunities for Improvement
  • Preparation and execution of annual compliance budget
  • Evaluation and planning of resource needs
  • Lead quarterly Management Review meetings as required by QMS
  • Direct supervision of Quality Assurance team members on site at manufacturing locations
  • Assist in new product development specifically with NFPA compliance testing
  • Identify and implement improvements Quality Management System processes
  • Perform internal quality audits as specified in the Quality Management System
  • Site visits each quarter or as required to meet assigned objectivesOccasional visits to third party testing labs, suppliers and end users
  • Work closely with Sales and Operation teams to optimize quality, cost and customer satisfaction
  • Effective communication of status of projects and action items with Fire-Dex leadership


Candidates should possess the following:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Product Design or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Quality Management or related technical development experience
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing
  • Strong continuous experience and root cause analysis experience
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Experience with NFPA Personal Protective Equipment requirements is a plus
  • Technical aptitude for understanding materials science applications
  • Ability for periodic travel (25-30%) to production sites as well as occasional visits with external testing labs, end users and company meetings
