**Description**

This position is responsible for supervising all material handlers, cycle count staff, and the device configuration team. This position is also responsible for ensuring inventory and order accuracy as well as proper usage of manufacturing and distribution computers and equipment. Standard operating procedures and safety policies must be consistently enforced, and continuous improvement initiatives will be necessary to strive for operational excellence. This position must work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Materials Management, Order Management, Inventory, Finance, and Shipping teams to meet company and departmental goals and objectives.

Job Duties:

- Hire, train, and supervise non-exempt staff of material handlers, configuration specialists, and cycle counters

- Interview and hire new employees

- Provide employee feedback on quality and overall performance

- Conduct quarterly performance reviews and create performance improvement plans as necessary

- Handle discipline problems, up to and including terminations

- Create, coordinate, and implement the training process for all employees

- Maintain a training chart to schedule and monitor employee training

- Maintain a rotation schedule to ensure cross-training and task rotation for staff

- Monitor workflow and staffing levels

- Identify and manage appropriate staffing levels to handle variable workloads

- Coordinate and manage employee overtime

- Enforce safety policies to ensure the protection of staff and enterprise material assets

- Assist management in developing and maintaining a business continuity plan to ensure the Starkey distribution can continue to operate in the event of various interruptions, outages, or disasters

- Ensure safety rules and governmental regulations are followed

- Coordinate machinery and equipment preventative maintenance

- Maintain overall departmental cleanliness and organization layout

- Master all inventory-related job duties

- Fill in throughout process when short-staffed; teams and tasks include:

- Picking locate and pull material for customer and internal orders following the FIFO methodology

- Configuration brand hearing aids with appropriate software, laser hearing aids, perform inspections

- Cycle Counting physical count, systematic adjustments, ensure proper transactions, audit Oracle transactions, monitor Oracle alerts, perform scrap transactions, run inventory reports

- Maintain current knowledge of and proficiency regarding inventory management functions and related KPIs

- Communicate and collaborate with staff, pier supervisors, management, and corporate

- Coordinate daily stand-up meetings and weekly staff meetings to convey departmental status, updates, and scorecard results

- Collaborate and attend internal and corporate/facilities project and activity meetings

- Inform all needed departments or individuals of known fulfillment issues or delays

- Provide support and guidance to all staff and department needs

- Become subject matter expert on fulfillment systems and equipment

- Perfect Pick automated picking machine and related Cortex software

- Preventive maintenance

- Optimize employee and material process flows

- Simplify systematic processes and align to physical process flows

- Use 5S and visual management methodologies to track order flows throughout order fulfillment process

- Use proven techniques and methodologies to improve inventory accuracy

- Lead Kaizen events to quickly improve inefficient or ineffective inventory practices

- Maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures to ensure regulatory compliance

- Ensure proper procedures are being followed at all times to maintain safety, regulatory, quality, and productivity standards

- Review and update existing process and procedures annually

- Maintain employee training records and train employees on procedural updates

- Successfully lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, lender, and other regulatory body

requirements

- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring order accuracy

- Fill orders using FIFO methodology

- Provide support to international facilities, as needed

- Spot check work to ensure order accuracy

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

* High school diploma required. Professional degree desired. APICS certification desired.

* Minimum 3-years of experience leading a fulfillment team and inventory management is required. Demonstrated experience in the management of people.
