Overview of Vermont Mechanical:

Role Overview:
The Sheet Metal Foreman / Installer III at Vermont Mechanical plays a critical role in planning and executing HVAC duct installations across various construction sites. This individual not only leads installations but also actively contributes to the submittal process, ensuring all aspects of the projects align with technical specifications and company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret complex architectural drawings, 3D blueprints, and specifications, sharing expertise with the team.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and other departments to efficiently plan and execute installations.
- Manage job site measurements, material orders, and communication with the Fabrication team to streamline project timelines.
- Lead and organize teams, delegate tasks, and maintain a high level of motivation among team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues related to sheet metal installations.
- Maintain adherence to safety standards and SMACNA guidelines throughout all job tasks.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on tools and equipment, promoting a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; 5+ years of relevant experience preferred. NCCER training in Sheet Metal is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of SMACNA standards and OSHA safety regulations.
- Valid drivers license with the ability to travel regionally.
- Strong communication skills, with the capacity to train and lead others.
- Must own personal hand tools for the sheet metal trade.
- Flexibility to work overtime and adjust hours as needed.
