Our client, a fast growing, commercial stage international biotech company based in New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Privacy to be a key business partner and a senior member of the legal leadership team, reporting directly to the General Counsel and serving the Company s Privacy Officer.
Key Responsibilities include managing and handling all aspects of data privacy and security matters for the Company and be designated as, and function as, the Company s Privacy Officer, and provide advice about applicable data privacy and security laws, such as HIPAA, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and GDPR.
A minimum of 10 years legal experience, including at least 8 years of experience in a privacy-focused role, with deep understanding of the data protection laws, requirements and regulator expectations impacting a global biopharmaceutical company.
