**Buyer**
18375 Olympic Ave S, Tukwila, WA 98188, USA Req #74 Friday, February 11, 2022 Rainier Industries, the Northwest leader in Display, Shade, and Shelter solutions is looking for a Buyer to join our Purchasing team.
The buyer works with the purchasing team to manage the total per year expenditure, as well as working cross-functionally with sales and operations to positively impact profitability and product quality. In addition, they will manage inventory to ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right time.

**Responsibilities:**
* Create purchase orders for direct and indirect materials to support assigned production processes.
* Manage inventory cycle counts to ensure accurate and on-time completion.
* Review open purchase orders for on-time delivery and expedite material as needed.
* Manage and develop supplier relationships as assigned to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and meet cost expectations.
* Work closely with Receiving and Accounts Payable to confirm accuracy from order to payment.
* Act as a backup for other buyers when necessary.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
* Strong understanding of purchasing processes in an MRP environment for manufacturing.
* Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, maintain a strong attention to detail, and work independently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Adaptable, flexible, and open to learning.
**Required Experience:**
* Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with ERP systems, Epicor preferred.
* Prior experience buying wrought aluminum highly desirable, but not required..
**Compensation:**
This is a salaried position. Pay is DOE.
