**Task Force General Manager**

at Kasa Living Las Vegas, NV *This role is requires travel away from home upwards of 90% of the time.* **The Role**

Kasa is seeking a travel-loving, operations guru to support our expanding Portfolio Operations portfolio in a variety of interim management positions for properties that:

* are in transition (either during openings and acquisitions)

* are in-between general managers, or

* need additional management support for major events or activities.

This role will report to Kasa's Associate Director, Full Building Operations and work closely with teams across the company, including Operations, Real Estate, LaunchOps, and Legal/Regulatory. **This is a remote-based role, but you should expect to be based at a given property for up to two months at a time.** Your work will help to open massive new opportunities for Kasa as it unleashes the potential of livable space, and we hope you're excited to make a big difference!

**About the Team**

This role sits in the Portfolio Operations department, which falls under Kasa's broader Operations team. The Operations team is a dynamic group of property launch specialists, on-the-ground property operations masters, and remote guest experience experts who collectively ensure that every Kasa property and every guest stay meets Kasa's high standard of excellence. The team is geographically diverse, spanning every US time zone as well as the Philippines, and also brings a diversity of experience and passion to the table. We constantly challenge our current way of operating in order to unlock new possibilities, and we foster a culture of deep empathy for each other as well as for our guests and partners that supersedes any particular day's challenges.

**Day in the life of a Kasa Task Force General Manager**

Like any Ops role, you should expect to have a number of competing priorities in a given day or week. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a wide degree of autonomy, creativity, and cost-effectiveness. While you will not be the permanent GM of any property you support, your efforts will determine the long-term success of both the property and its future manager, so your attention to detail and organizational skills will be critical.

Success in this role will primarily be measured by the operational and financial success of the property, but community engagement and the development of strong working relationships with the various support departments that assist this property will be just as important. By "owning" all aspects of the property, you are essentially a small business entrepreneur, and you will have a special amount of influence to drive the success of this unique hospitality offering. In many instances, you will need to act as a "one-person team" with responsibilities ranging from room inspections and repairs to group sales and VIP guest requests.

While the scope of this role is quite broad, you will be supported by other Kasa teams, which all work remotely, including centralized reservations, 24/7 remote guest experience support, finance and accounting, asset management, revenue management, and marketing. The ability to hop on video conference calls, communicate via Slack and other CRM platforms, as well as email, will be a critical way to stay engaged with the team. A strong, flexible, entrepreneurial mindset and exemplary time management will be critical for success within this role.

**Experience**

* 5+ years of work experience, ideally in the hospitality or service industry

+ You have an innate ability to serve a diverse base of guests and deliver experiences with a service mindset

+ You are comfortable "rolling up your sleeves" as a boutique hotel manager, and able to run the show autonomously

+ You thrive in an environment with constantly shifting priorities and are able to be flexible and adaptable at a moment's notice, potentially on nights and weekends

+ You have a mix of both front-of-house and back-of-house work experience, giving you unique insight into the total operations of a property

+ You have excellent time management skills and enjoy juggling multiple time-sensitive projects at the same time

* You are excited to spend the vast majority of your time on the road

* You are data-driven, with metrics on your mind, and have the ability to interpret and analyze financial and non-financial data

* You have a high level of independence and can make thoughtful decisions, even in fast-paced and ambiguous operating environments

* You are obsessive about clear documentation of learnings, and always approach a problem with the mindset of how you could scale the solution to 100x the size

* You communicate with clarity and empathy and can deliver impactful presentations to both senior business leaders as well as daily operations staff

* You have excellent time management skills and enjoy juggling multiple time-sensitive projects at the same time

* You can handle stressful situations with a calm and positive demeanor

* Travel is part of your DNA and you have a passion for the hospitality, tech, and real estate industry

**Plus if...**

* You've worked in the hospitality industry at some point in your career

* You've been a part of hotel construction, re-modeling, or management transition

* You've implemented or executed a robust preventative maintenance program

**In one year, you will succeed at Kasa by having:**

* Become an invaluable resource to our team regarding portfolio-wide operations

* Fostered a positive culture of accountability around metrics with robust feedback loops
