We are looking for an experienced Transportation Recruiter/Driver Assist who can create a pool of qualified candidates and hire drivers who meet company safety requirements for our terminal in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with recruiting, be extremely reliable, have a solid work history, take pride in their work, and want to be a part of a growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop recruiting strategies designed to identify qualified candidates through various recruiting tools, including social media sites.
  • Post and communicate driver positions to perspective applicants using job boards, Tenstreet, social media sites, internet searches, and cold calling.
  • Manage driver leads effectively to build a pipeline for current and future hires.
  • Answer inbound and make outbound phone calls to prospective drivers.
  • Provide prospective drivers with qualification requirements, company policies and procedures, and benefits.
  • Review applications to identify qualified applicants.
  • Interview drivers to ensure they meet our safety requirements and are a good cultural fit.
  • Follow up with candidates, build relationships, and maintain contact via phone calls, text, and emails.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system.
  • Stay current on company policy, state and federal HR laws, and FMCSA rules and requirements.
  • Assist Safety with safety audits.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Transportation Recruiting: 2 years (Required)
  • DOT regulations: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Tenstreet: 1 year (Preferred)
