The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company from customer order to on-time delivery while meeting or exceeding customer quality standards as well as partnering with the executive team on developing and delivering platform strategy. This person shall have a general understanding of all aspects of manufacturing and will lead the overall direction of the organization to achieve customer and business growth goals.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Contributes to management and board meetings as required.

Oversee day to day operations at the plant to maximize effective, efficient and safe use of resources.

Responsible for managing performance of Production, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and

Maintenance.

Ensures customer quality and delivery expectations are met.

Interacts with Marketing, Sales Design, suppliers, employees, and other stakeholders at all levels and ensures all

parties are treated in a professional and respectful manner.

Conduct production performance review meetings ensuring safety, cost, quality, delivery and cost standards are

maintained.

Review the daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports.

Responsible for developing a positive culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Participate in long-range planning of the corporation involving areas of possible growth and expansion and

profit opportunities.

Monitors operational performance to ensure Company s goals and objectives for Safety, Quality, Service and

Cost are being met and takes corrective action, if needed.

Develops and implements Quality Strategies to ensure manufactured product quality and supplier quality

expectations are delivered to our customers and cost of quality is controlled.

Develops and implements manufacturing footprint strategies to effectively manage cost of capital, O/H

structure, labor costs and customer service.

Perform other functions or projects as assigned by the CEO.

Implement Lean principles in the production environment.

Use Just-in-time principles for material procurement to minimize working capital needs.

Achieve Efficiency goals.

Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the overall facility and equipment to ensure a safe work

environment for all employees.

Identify, recommend, and support capital improvements and capital expenditures.


FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Review all job costing and post-production information to ensure profitability on an on-going basis.

Supports the yearly budgeting function to develop company forecasts.


QUALIFICATIONS

15+ years in a manufacturing leadership position with facilities > 100 people,

Demonstrated knowledge of Lean manufacturing or six-sigma principles.

Bachelor s degree required.

Masters preferred.

Proficient with MS Office applications. SAP experience preferred.
