Lighthouse Lab Services seeks an experienced a LC/MS Certifying Scientist for an established lab in Draper, UT.
Position Overview
This fast-growing, proud family of toxicology laboratories strives to provide the highest quality of testing and customer service to their clients. As a scientist, you will be responsible for performing analytical drug testing data review and analysis. The Certifying Scientist will operate LC/MS-MS equipment to perform urine toxicology confirmation (quantitative analysis) to determine the amount of therapeutic or illicit drugs in a patient specimen. The selected candidate will conduct a review of all confirmation results to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the drug testing process, and subsequently releasing these test reports to physicians or other healthcare professionals.

Job Responsibilities:
- Operate urine drug screening and LC/MS/MS confirmation instruments
- Operate LIS systems
- SOP writing and regulatory paperwork.
- Review drug confirmation data from the laboratory, compare with the initial screening data for accuracy and release the results.
- Initiate any corrective action in the lab on testing data that has been reviewed and found to be incomplete or inconclusive.
- Interact with other departments such as sales, customer service, and clients.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned consistent with the level of the position.
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree of Science or greater in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Toxicology. (Chemistry is preferred)
- 2+ years LC-MS/MS & GCMS Experience in a clinical setting(clinical laboratory)
- 2 years High Complexity Toxicology Confirmatory experience
Experience Preferred
- ASCP Certification
- Shimadzu laboratory equipment experience (preferred)
Salary/Shift/Benefits
- $50K-80K Depending on education and experience
- 1st shift M-F
- Full, comprehensive benefits
