Business Development Representative - Retirement Services and Financial Wellness


Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities through strategic outreach and relationship building with producers and account management teams from within the MMA Health and Welfare and Business Insurance divisions. The role requires a proactive approach to prospecting and lead qualification, with a focus on creating and nurturing valuable connections. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the Retirement division's growth and contributing to its overall success.


Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct research to identify potential new clients and cross selling opportunities.
  2. Utilize various internal channels, including direct outreach, email campaigns, hosting focused webinars and social media, to identify existing and potential new client relationships for retirement and financial wellness cross sales.
  3. Qualify leads and manage the sales pipeline effectively, ensuring a steady flow of new prospects.
  4. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies for lead generation and cross sales.
  5. Maintain a deep understanding of the retirement and financial wellness services and effectively communicate their value to producers, account managers and potential clients.
  6. Attend industry events and networking functions to expand the company's presence and foster relationships with key stakeholders.
  7. Track and report on all sales activities and results using MMAForce CRM software.
  8. Provide regular updates and feedback to the management team on market trends, competitor activities, and other pertinent information.


Requirements:


  1. Proven experience in a sales or business development role.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with potential clients.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  5. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.
  6. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and trends.
  7. A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving and exceeding targets.
