Basic Welder
Responsibilities
ABOUT YOUR TASKS:
- Work from verbal instructions / blueprints / drawings and/or work orders.
- Setup equipment / prepare surfaces to be welded /weld parts.
- Must be able to use hand tools such as grinders, etc.
- Maintain inventory of parts used in area.
- Must report all accidents/injuries to department supervisor immediately.
- Prompt and regular attendance.
QualificationsADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - May perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
- Keep work area clean, neat and orderly.
- Follow all safety rules, policies and procedures.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Must have prior TIG work experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate good welding ability with minimal training.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have good hand/eye coordination.
- Must have TIG experience and pass internal welding test.
- Must complete the Career Readiness Certification
ABOUT YOU: - A high school diploma or GED is required.

Frequently: Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling
Occasionally: Fingering/Grasping/Feeling
