Job Description

The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the procurement team to support the various fixtures and supply purchases needed for the stores. This position maintains supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and implements systems for monitoring performance, assessing risk, and responding to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain.

Responsibilities
- Create a buying strategy considering the budget for necessary fixtures and supplies to meet business needs and new store projections
- Support and lead procurement team
- Partner with finance and accounting to review budgets and actuals
- Collect and analyze data to ensure sound decisions to support business needs
- Knowledgeable of various vendors and their supplies
- Build relationships with existing vendors and identify new vendors to support emerging business needs
- Oversee and support the coordination of products/supplies with project management teams to ensure that schedule and cost requirements are being fulfilled
- Source suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure cost-effective services
- Resolves escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments

Ability to work in a team environment give and receive honest, direct feedback, Aptitude for interpreting retail data and applying solutions as problems arise, Excellent organization skills with the ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently, Problem Solving, Superior communication skills both written and verbal, that communicate clear, effective messages

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years managing a team; Minimum of 2 years in procurement role;
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.

Work is typically performed in an office but projects may sometimes take the employee to a non-standard workplace. Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items up to 25lbs, and to walk short distances.
