Concrete Finisher


Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher II to work on our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces using hand and power tools and assisting with the supervision of Concrete Finisher I personnel. As a key member of our team, the Concrete Finisher II will work closely with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed to the highest level of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Pour and spread concrete to the required thickness and consistency
  • Smooth and level concrete surfaces using trowels and other tools
  • Create concrete forms and frameworks as needed
  • Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear as required
  • Communicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget
  • Develop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlines
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects
  • Assist with training and supervision of Concrete Finisher III personnel
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in concrete finishing preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in concrete finishing, with experience in a construction setting preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus
