Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual for the role of Operations Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our facilities, including customer interaction, animal care, and assisting with our programs for adults with developmental disabilities. This role is perfect for someone who loves working in a dynamic environment and is passionate about positively impacting the community.
The Role:
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phone calls and interacting with customers.
- Operate the register efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with animal care, including feeding, cleaning, and socializing animals.
- Support the animal adoption process by helping with paperwork and customer interactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in production and store areas.
- Operate rides and attractions as needed.
- Train and supervise adults with developmental disabilities in various tasks.
- Assist with special events and provide support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Retail experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Personable and energetic with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Physical capability to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and walking, including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Basic computer skills: accurate typing, navigating websites, entering and recalling data, using word processors and spreadsheet software, managing emails, and familiarity with digital communication etiquette and techniques.
