About the Role:

The Product Development and Production Assistant will assist the product development team in the development of all products from idea generation to sample production to delivery of final product. They will have hands-on experience while developing skills and building their resume. Candidates must be very organized, self-motivated and detail oriented. This position is entry level with room to grow.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for all product development data entry, for costing updates, approvals of strike-offs/samples/lab dips, communicating comments daily as needed.
  • Daily communication with local and overseas vendors and suppliers as well as internal cross-functional partners
  • Management and organization of all samples, lab dips, trims, swatches, etc.
  • Maintaining and filing all submits
  • Prepare and send packages to suppliers
  • Responsible for collection and distribution of packages
  • Support Product Development team and production team with any other tasks as needed.

What you'll bring:

  • Basic knowledge of textiles and color
  • 1 year of Product Development experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Capability to build strong partnerships and to work collaboratively to achieve goals
  • Can adapt to a small company work culture, be highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
