Position Summary:


As the Director of Finance for Supply Chain Internal Plant Operations, you play a pivotal role within the Supply Chain Finance Team. Directly overseeing 10-12 plants and managing a team of up to 35 employees, you serve as a crucial business partner to the Vice President of Operations, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration across internal plant operations. Your responsibilities extend to closely collaborating with Business Unit Operations and Finance Teams, providing essential costing analysis to facilitate decision-making within the commercial team. Success in this role hinges on effective communication and the ability to forge strong partnerships across various functions and locations. You're tasked with both meeting financial commitments and devising winning strategies to drive the business towards its long-term growth objectives.

Your day-to-day activities involve supervising all finance and accounting operations at the plant level, fostering value-added collaboration between the Finance and Operating teams. Weekly and monthly tasks include reporting and analyzing results against financial scenarios, crafting budgets and projections, and consolidating financial data across all plants under your purview. Additionally, you'll spearhead efforts to identify and implement cost productivity initiatives, optimize networks, and allocate capital efficiently. Your involvement in monthly and quarterly forecasting activities with business teams is crucial. Notably, you possess the agility to navigate ambiguous situations and are enthusiastic about establishing a new finance capability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen communication and partnership between Supply Chain Finance and individual business units to foster a unified approach towards productivity and long-term initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and communication to business teams regarding weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts.
  • Advocate for the needs of business teams within Supply Chain to meet short-term and long-term financial commitments effectively.
  • Develop, monitor, and communicate performance metrics.
  • Provide strategic oversight for network optimization, capital deployment, and capacity planning.
  • Enhance the capital planning process and refine cash investment/return analytics.
  • Support business innovation initiatives to ensure viable go-to-market strategies and sustainable business models.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with Plant Controllers to drive productivity and operational enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Finance counterparts to reduce time spent on non-value-added tasks and increase focus on impactful business activities.
  • Provide leadership to a team of 10-12 direct reports.


Requirements:

  • Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Office systems, particularly Excel; SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Supervisory: Experience managing 10-12 direct reports and leading a team of 35.
  • Travel: Approximately 50% travel required.
  • Location: Based at AR Headquarters.
