Job Overview:

As the Kitchen Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and efficiency. You will work alongside a dedicated team of culinary professionals to maintain seamless operations and exceed customer expectations.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Developing menus, creating new dishes, and implementing innovative culinary ideas.
  • Monitor food preparation processes to maintain consistency and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock control, to minimize waste and maximize cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling practices, and sanitation standards.
  • Train and mentor kitchen team members to enhance their culinary skills and foster a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to facilitate effective communication and ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly, striving to resolve issues and improve overall guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained kitchen area.
  • Administrative tasks, such as scheduling, budgeting, and reporting, to support overall restaurant operations.
  • Embrace a proactive approach to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes for enhanced efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a thorough understanding of food preparation techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
  • Creativity and willingness to contribute to menu development and culinary innovation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members and customers.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
