The Staff Technical Product Specialist (TPS) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for working with a team-based sales strategy for both new and existing customers. You will be responsible for supporting Clinical Informatics (CIT) sales into hospitals and reference laboratories. As our new TPS IT, you will work closely with the WITS Sales Managers to align on key strategic accounts in the automation and IDN markets and support the execution of sales strategies and campaigns that leverage our Clinical Informatics suite. You will use your knowledge of laboratory workflow, IT infrastructure, and networking security to effectively understand customer needs across the healthcare enterprise, and ultimately architect the appropriate solution to meet the needs of the laboratory as well as the healthcare IT team. You will be responsible for driving technical sales consultations throughout the opportunity lifecycle and facilitating robust handoffs to the implementation teams with the goal of driving a positive customer experience.This position is part of the Workflow & IT Solutions Sales team located in your home office and will be fully remote with 30% - 50% travel across the Western part of the U.S. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.You will be a part of the Sales Organization and report to the National Senior Director, Workflow Automation & Clinical Informatics. Ensure consistent communication with sales counterpartsServe as a subject matter expert for the CIT product discipline who regularly engages with senior cross-functional partners (e.g., WITS Sales Managers, Business Unit and Marketing Teams, and Service Partners) and customers (e.g., Directors, and VPs, CIOs and Hospital IT Teams, etc.) to craft the best fit solution to meet the customer s individual IT needs.Use knowledge of laboratory workflow and IT networking infrastructure to have deep technical conversations with stakeholders in the healthcare enterprise early and throughout the sales process.Ensure the accuracy of the solution and develop the appropriate documentation to support a successful handoff to the CIT implementation team and ensure a positive customer experienceDeliver technical discussions and demonstrations that link the capabilities of the CIT solution to the ability to address customer s technical and workflow needs The essential requirements of the job include:Bachelor s degree preferably in a science and/or technology field with 9+ years of experience OR Master s degree preferably in a science and/or technology field with 7+ years of experienceHave working knowledge of LIS or Laboratory Workflow Management solutions, laboratory workflow, complex IT infrastructure and privacy and security tenets. Strong working knowledge of laboratory workflow and healthcare IT needs, with a strong focus on networking and security concepts. Proficiency with hospital IT platforms, including LIS and middleware; strong understanding of laboratory diagnostic solutionsAbility to balance multiple projects, including internal and external customer engagements, for sales at various stages in the sales process.Strong working knowledge of workflow tools such as Microsoft Visio to communicate appropriate IT infrastructureExecutive presence and strong communication skills to foster robust conversations with laboratory and IT teams, including executives, as well as communicate closely with sales partnersIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:4+ years of informatics experience (preferably in a hospital or laboratory setting)Knowledge of system interoperability HL7, ASTM, TCP/IP, FTPKnowledge of Informatics Infrastructure Network Administration, IT Security, etc.At Beckman Coulter Diagnostics we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
