POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER - Solar System Science & Exploration - Boulder, Colorado

Objectives of this Role:

  • Perform statistical analysis on solar and climate data.
  • Be part of educational programs involving students and citizen scientists.
  • Apply machine learning to solve heliophysics problems.
  • Write papers reporting progress and sharing results with community.
  • Write grant proposals to secure further funding.


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Program in python to develop data processing and analysis routines.
  • Meet regularly to discuss progress and integrate with the rest of the team.
  • Write scientific papers.
  • Present results in professional conferences.


Requirements:

  • Requires a PhD in Physics, Heliophysics or Geophysics.
  • 0 years: Experience working with data (ie: heliophysics, geophysics preferred)




Special Requirements:

Work assignment is in Boulder, Colorado. This is a 1 year limited term assignment.



Job Locations: Boulder, Colorado

Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00
