Responsibilities:

The CNC Operator in our Scenic shop is responsible for:

  • Following operation sheets, drawings, and sketches

  • Performing machine maintenance

  • Training manual machinist for CNC Operation



Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years experience in programming CNC router or Waterjet using Mastercam Software or equivalent

  • Experienced working with Step and DXF files.

  • Must be able to read blueprints.

  • Experience with all types of precision measuring instruments (Micrometer, Calipers, Height Gauges, etc.)

  • Manual mill or lathe experience a plus

  • Fanuc and Fadal experience a plus

  • Some machine shop experience helpful.

  • Person must be capable of working independently and be a problem solver.

  • Must be able to take directions and perform work in a timely fashion

  • Must be neat, well organized and reliable.

  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task are very important

  • Positive, can-do attitude; willingness to learn

  • Availability to work overtime during peak seasons

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis

  • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving. Physical activities include frequent use of hand tools, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching regularly.

The pay range for this position is estimated to be $20-30/hour. Actual pay rate to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data.
