Minimum Starting Rate: $22.90

Job Summary: We are looking for a passionate, dedicated professional who specializes in the use of therapeutic activities to support the mental health recovery process. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the treatment team to implement a therapeutic treatment program for children and youth experiencing psychiatric crises and emotional and behavioral challenges.

As a specialist, you will facilitate and co-facilitate individual and group interventions and impromptu groups and activities on the inpatient unit. You will contribute to the maintenance of a consistent group schedule and offer ongoing opportunities for productive, therapeutic, rehabilitative, and individualized patient engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred. Will also consider an appropriate degree in the following fields: Drama Therapy, Music Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, Art Therapy, or equivalent directly related work experience.
License or certification in therapeutic field preferred.
National Certification preferred.
Experience facilitating groups in a behavioral health setting preferred.
Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
