Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Parts Manager located in De Pere, WI. The Parts Manager will be responsible for inventory control and management, ensuring customer satisfaction, and providing exceptional customer service. The Parts Manager will oversee Parts Associates, will also handle service parts and collaborate with other teams to meet customer requirements.


Qualifications

  • The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Completion of a high school education or equivalent.
  • Must hold a clean and valid driver s license.
  • Experience in inventory control and management, as well as customer satisfaction
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of service parts and inventory management
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience in the transportation or refrigeration industry is a plus


Job Responsibilities:


  • Manages all aspects of inventory including Inventory dollar amount, part turns, invoicing, and receiving of orders, annual returns, obsolete inventory and cores.
  • Oversee the yearly physical inventory for all Thermo King Dealer locations
  • Tracking of inventory in service trucks.
  • Oversee annual parts returns and ensures annual parts returns are done on time.
  • Order and manage all large account accessory unit parts, assuring correct quantity and delivery dates happen.
  • Facilitates the growth and improves efficiencies of the Parts Department.
  • Manages parts associates Clerks and Route Sales on all shifts, responsible for proper training of Associates in dept.
  • Perform performance reviews of associates in your dept in a timely manner
  • Authorizes Associate PTO Scheduling.
  • Meet with parts customers to understand their needs and what they are purchasing.
  • Ensures parts vehicle(s) maintenance is done routinely and properly. Parts vehicle(s) kept clean and neat.
  • Ensures parts room is clean, neat, organized and safe.
  • Ensures all Associates in dept work safely and follow all rules, policy and procedures
  • Able to back-up for the Parts Clerk, which may include greeting customers, distributing parts to technicians, processing counter orders, making parts calls, stocking shelves and assisting with deliveries and inventory.
  • Able to back-up to Route Sales.
  • Assists customers at counter and on phone with parts orders.
  • Operates a forklift to move stock, load and unload trailers.
  • Manages and looks for most cost-effective vendors to purchase from.
  • Inputs counter invoicing and quote information using MAS system.
  • Acts as a cashier in approving checks via cross check and in the collection of cash, checks, credit card, and greenbacks for C.O.D. customers.
  • Answers phones for all departments and route to appropriate person and/or takes messages when phone volume is high.
  • Provides back-up for warranty claims by holding warranty parts and submitting parts for warranty work.
  • Completes required annual Thermo King training.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all company information.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
