Job Summary: The Site Manager performs a wide variety of duties to supervise, direct, control and coordinate production functions and operations, at designated site, with a goal of meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Functions will include, but not be limited to direct supervision of employees, production scheduling, quality assurance and control, customer order processing, data collection, supervision of maintenance and equipment troubleshooting, and customer, subcontractor, and vendor relationship management. Home office staff members shall provide support and assistance in functional departmental duties including Quality, Finance, Engineering, and Information Systems.

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; ensure employees are properly trained, and that there is a continuous effort to maintain compliance with safety standards. Actively involved in improving safety culture.
  • Direct and coordinate plant operations to include production, quality, maintenance, shipping, and customer service.
  • Develops staffing plans and plans work assignments to satisfy the manufacturing schedule and to achieve efficient utilization of manpower and equipment.
  • Ensures location implements and follows Company initiatives, policies, and practices.
  • Supervises employees to include work scheduling, training, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating. Maintains records of ongoing performance and attendance.
  • Participates in the recruitment, interviewing and hiring of new employees.
  • Ensures location implements and follows Company initiatives, policies, and practices.
  • Foster a well-trained, motivated, and engaged staff. Ensure employees are properly trained in safety, quality, and production process standards.
  • Manages customer expectations to maximize profitability and minimize expense of facility.
  • Discusses current and future production requirements and other business opportunities with customers.
  • Provides technical support on Company services to the customers.
  • Performs process development and pricing on new parts requiring standard processing.
  • Confers with the home office management team to identify, plan, and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiencies in operations.
  • Represents the Company at all customer meetings and functions.
  • Handles customer, subcontractor and vendor correspondence and inquiries as required.
  • Prepares and presents reports to home office on operational efficiencies of site.
  • Manages all operational budgets (overhead, direct labor, and raw material).
  • Directs all security measures and ensures proprietary nature of process is maintained.
  • Approves purchase requisitions in accordance with Delegation of Authority.
  • Maintains thorough process knowledge.
  • Provides outstanding customer service.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Job Requirements:


Education: High School Diploma required. College degree preferred.


Experience: 3-5 years of related work experience in a Manufacturing environment. Proven supervisory experience. Experienced and versatile with computers and basic computing and MS Office.


Specific Skills: High level of integrity and character. Superior communication abilities with emphasis on written communications and follow-up.

Relationship management capabilities and experience applicable to customers and subcontractors.


Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time.
