Financial Specialist

Reports To: Financial Coordinator

Position Summary

Working Under the guidance of Full Circle Services Leadership to ensure that accounting and reporting policies or guidelines comply with top management's instructions, industry practices and regulations to meet the high quality of services that are provided to those consumers we serve.

Education

The Financial Specialist is preferred to have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field of study or in a non-related field with 5 years' experience working in the finance field. Potential applicants shall possess the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to competently perform Financial Specialist activities.

Experience

* Preferred 3 years' experience of business management (including billing, cost accounting, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable).

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (including Excel and Word). Experience with Sage Peachtree accounting software is preferred.

* A strong candidate will also possess knowledge of the Iowa Medicaid billing process and have experience, addressing billing issues, and reconciling accounts

* Prepare budget forecasts and analyze financial statements.

* Process payroll tax deposit and returns.

* Preferred experience in providing disability services,

Job Duties:

* Support Finance Coordinator with monitoring financial aspects of business activities.

* Support Finance Coordinator with implementing and administering the company budget and financial management of the agency,

* Support Finance Coordinator with completing the monthly billing process, following up on remittance issues as they arise, identifying and rectifying the issue and rebilling the claim. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures pertaining to monthly billing process,

* Support Finance Coordinator with monitor internal program code procedures to insure expenses/revenue are tracked correctly,

* Support Finance Coordinator by record journal entries; reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain accuracy.

* Support Finance Coordinator complete and analyze yearend reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal/state regulations and GAAP.

* Support Finance Coordinator preparing annual Financial reports and various rate setting procedures,

* Support Finance Coordinator with preparation and maintenance of payroll.

* Support Finance Coordinator and Human Resources with coordination of employee benefits with in the payroll process.

* Support Finance Coordinator with document preparation in coordination with the Financial Coordinator for internal and external auditing advisors.

* Support Finance Coordinator extract billing data from the Electronic Health Record in order to upload into billing database.

* Knowledge of the types of discrimination and mistreatment to which clients may be subjected and applicable remedies.

* Knowledge of training and supervisory techniques and an ability to successfully apply techniques as needed.

* Knowledge of employee policies and procedures.
