**Forklift Driver**
**JOB SUMMARY:** Receives, loads and distributes materials plantwide.
(Must have ability to pass forklift/BT written and driving tests for a license)
**PRIMARY RESPONIBILITIES:**
* Works with the flow of parts/materials with the operation by driving fork lift/BT to appropriate location by loading/unloading parts.
* Issues requested materials to requested departments.
* Reads tags which include numbers, descriptions and destinations.
* Checks the ticket information and matches information on the racks.
* Reviews the packing slips to detect discrepancies.
* Reads tail weights from the container, read the scale measurement and adjust the quantity on the scale if necessary.
* Must check, verify and comprehend directions or request from supervisor and other employees.
* Maintains inventory accuracy by using number tags, assigning locations, issuing all tags and returning tags for input and making accurate stock transfers in the computer. Completes inventory activity reports.
* Inspects the material before it is put in location or packed away and maintains warehouse space by stacking in a logical order.
* Accurately loads/unloads materials by use of the fork lift/BT.
* Maintains fork lift by completing fork lift check list daily, checks fluid and adds fluids to fork lift if necessary. Contacts maintenance department for repairs.
* Monitors quality of production by self-check, successive checks and comparison to quality standards.
* Active with continual improvement of the process.
Performs other duties as assigned.

**GENERAL PREREQUISITES & DUTIES:**
* Basic math skills
* Various lifting/maneuvering requirements (Up to 45 pounds)
* Occasionally (up to 100 lbs) with assistance
* Ability to count, identify and copy numbers
* Ability to work independently
* Good attendance
* Maintain proper housekeeping
* Adherence to safety requirements
* May be required to wear personal protective equipment
