APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with a local company in Whitmore Lake, MI looking to add a seasoned Account Manager to their already amazing team. What your day will look like:

• Managing the entire sales process from start to finish
• Developing new customers and strategies for increasing sales with new and existing customers
• Reviewing customer RFPs with other departments to ensure quotes meet customer requirements
• Developing sales presentations tailored to individual customer requirements
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with senior buyers, engineers and key decision makers
• Identifying new areas of growth and developing strategies to achieve sales goals for assigned territories and accounts
• Analyzing and identifying opportunities to secure new client business
• Visiting customers to develop close relationships with the key sales decision makers
• Cold calling and following up on all assigned leads and entering results in assigned software system
• Traveling domestically and internationally to customer locations as needed

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Science
• 4+ years of Account Management experience
• Previous knowledge in Capital Equipment Sales, Machine Tool Sales or Industrial Automation Sales preferred
• Mechanical aptitude or machine automation experience
• Strong negotiating skills
• Up to 80% travel required once trained
