Junior Network Engineer (supporting Naval Research Lab)


Job Details

  • The Network Engineer shall provide technical engineering in all phases of network design, development, operation and management
  • Assist with the integration of new missions into the Blossom Point baseline by planning and executing communication solutions, resolving issues and adding new capabilities to the infrastructure
  • Work with Project Mangers to define the required external communications for new projects
  • Configure and install firewalls, routers, and switches; primarily Cisco and Forcepoint
  • Create and update communications diagrams, flow charts, and other documentation
  • Work with Cyber Security team ensure network security requirement are met
  • Work with on-site System Administrators to integrate new equipment onto networks
  • Configure and troubleshoot VoIP systems
  • Assist with RMF drawings and documentation
  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or 5 years experience in Network engineering required
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required
  • Cisco Network certifications highly desired
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
