Manager, Tax & Reporting ComplianceThis position is located in Reston, VAThis position is not remote workUS Citizenship or Green Card Holder - no sponsorship availablePURPOSEEnsure tax compliance within Federal, State, Local and Foreign jurisdictions. Work with Management in formulating tax strategiesOptimize Company profitability and cash flowEnsure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirementsPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESPreparation of tax returns for Federal, State and Local including US international forms and required elections and disclosuresPreparation of quarterly global income tax provision under IFRSFiling of sales & use and property tax returnsSupport financial statement audit process including tax disclosuresResponsible for worldwide transfer pricing documentation as well as preparation of intercompany entries on a quarterly basisEvaluate potential impact of new tax legislation and recommend proper course of actionManage IRS and state audits, including providing support and documentationAssess income tax implications of transactions, restructuring, and other changes in business operationsSupport M&A projects, including tax due diligence and post-acquisition integrationWork directly with and manage external tax service providers and auditorsManage special projects, including R&D tax credit and transfer pricing studiesEnsure internal controls regarding tax are followed and documented in accordance with SOX requirementsFiling of annual reports with Secretary of StatePreparation of estimated tax payments and extension filingsPreparation of tax forecastsProvide timely assistance and support to other departments or operations on tax related matters and their potential impactKNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES -Bachelor s degree or higher, CPA required, Masters in Taxation preferred7+ years of tax experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or industryBig 4 - Public accounting experience with preparation and filing U.S. consolidated income tax returns for large multi-national corporationsIn-depth understanding of international taxation, including Form 5471, Subpart F, GILTI, FDII and foreign tax creditStrong global tax provision skills and experience in financial reportingWell-rounded expertise in U.S. tax issues and tax planning; experience with international tax planning and strategyLess than 10% travel requiredExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail with good organizational skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency with Excel and One Source; experience with SAP preferredIf you have a disability and cannot apply online, please mail your resume and cover letter to:StarKist Co.1875 Explorer Street, 10th floorATTN: Human ResourcesReston, VA 20190Please note: this option is for individuals with disabilities only.StarKist Co. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
